SUMMER SCHOOL INFORMATION

OPEN POSITIONS

The school is looking to fill a few paid positions for next school year including teacher aides and part-time teachers. If you have any interest or would simply like more information, please reach out to our principal, Tim Mueller, at tmueller@starofbethlehem.org or call the school office by Monday, May 27.


LAST DAY OF SCHOOL CHAPEL, AWARDS, AND PICNIC

Everyone is invited to attend chapel on the last day of school, Thursday, May 30, at 7:50am. The awards ceremony will take place immediately after, from 8:15-8:45am. After, we will be in the parking lot for games until lunch.


HOT LUNCH AND EXTENDED CARE END-OF-YEAR PROCESS

 Hot lunch and Extended Care statements will be sent home in family folders next week Friday, May 24. If your child(ren) will be having hot lunch or using Extended Care during the last week of school, please add time to the amount owed. We ask that all negative remaining balances be paid by Thursday, May 30. Any remaining positive balance will be kept in your account for next school year. If your child is graduating or not returning next year, the remaining balance will be reimbursed to you by the middle of June.


MEDICATION PICK-UP

 Please remember to pick up your child’s medication from the office on or before the last day of school. Any unused student medication will be disposed of after the last day of school.


LAST DAY OF SCHOOL PICNIC LUNCH VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

 Many hands are needed to help serve the picnic lunch on the last day of school. Please contact jrobles@starofbethlehem.org if you are able to help.


LAST DAY OF SCHOOL PICNIC ALLERGY INFORMATION

School will provide popsicles and a hot dog lunch on the last day of school. This meal will include a hot dog, watermelon, chips, and a cookie. CLICK HERE for the lunch allergy information. PRESCHOOL PICNICS AND GRADUATION

The 3K preschool picnic is on Thursday, May 23 at 10:00am. Meet at Malone Park for some games and lunch. There will be no regular preschool classes that day.

The 4K preschool graduation and closing service is on Friday, May 24 at 10:00am. Children should meet in the preschool classroom at 9:45am and parents meet in the church. After the service, everyone will head down to Malone Park for the picnic.

ELC is available on both days for those that need care.


SUMMER CARE ACADEMY SCHEDULES AVAILABLE

The daily and monthly calendars for summer care are available at www.starofbethlehem.org/summercare. There is also still time to register if you haven’t already done so. Please contact Michelle Yass at michelle.yass@starofbethlehem.org with any questions.


FAMILY NIGHT

Friday, May 17 at 6:00pm. This year's theme is "Dancing Through the Decades." Girls in grade 8 are asked to stay after school; pizza will be provided. All other students are asked to arrive at 5:40pm and meet in the Fellowship Hall.

GRANDPARENTS DAY

Grandparents’ Day will be held on Friday, May 17. Please CLICK HERE for a note regarding your family's plan for dismissal on that day.

STUDENT COUNCIL FUN AND GAMES NIGHT

The Star Student Council is hosting a Fun and Games Night for students in grades 7 and 8. The kids will play games and have fun in the gym. Socks or gym shoes are required. Snacks and a beverage will be provided. CLICK HERE to register by Wednesday, May 15.


TUITION ASSISTANCE APPLICATIONS

Tuition assistance applications are available for students attending Star, Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Luther Prep, or Martin Luther College for the 2019-2020 school year. CLICK HERE for the form. Forms are due to the office by Monday, May 20.

SUMMER MUSIC CAMP REGISTRATION
