Mrs. Janeen Roska
It is such a privilege to serve students and families in Extended Learning here at Star of Bethlehem. Teaching upper grade music is also a joy for me.
I'm a "local girl" through and through. I grew up on the north side of Milwaukee, attending Mt. Lebanon Lutheran School for grades K-8 and then Wisconsin Lutheran High School. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education from Wisconsin Lutheran College.
I married my college sweetheart in 2002 and have been blessed with three children. I bring a unique perspective to Extended Learning as I have been the parent of a child who received extra educational services. My family makes our home in the southwest corner of Franklin with our dog. Any spare time is spent chauffeiring the kids to various musical rehearsals and performances.
We are members of Living Water Lutheran Church in Wind Lake, WI. We are active in worship and serving there in various roles. I am also currently serving as the National Chairperson for the WELS Handbell Festivals.

In Extended Learning, instruction will be centered around the student's individual needs. Students may receive instruction one-on-one or in small groups, or receive extra support within their classroom. Communication between the parents, the classroom teacher, and myself will be crucial to helping each student grow in their learning and skills.
I believe that music is learned best when it is experienced. Music classes will often have students actively making music. Music theory concepts of rhythm, melody, and harmony will be taught. Music appreciation and history, including church music, will be covered.
